About
Helping Those Lost in Addiction
From the beginning, it’s been as simple as reaching the lost and broken for Christ.
The mission of The Fix Ministry has always been about sharing the hope of Christ with those who are helpless, hopeless, and at a point of giving up, teaching them about a new life with Christ and then sending them back into the harvest.
Reach, Teach & Send is what we strive to do.
The Fix Ministry is a faith-based, Christ-centered program that provides comprehensive, long-term assistance to people from all walks of life with serious life-controlling issues.
The Fix Ministry is a gospel-focused ministry in Virginia that focuses on restoring men and women ravaged by drug abuse. We are one of the few Christian ministries that receive no government funding. Therefore we are able to remain 100% Gospel-focused.
The purpose of The Fix Ministry is to save lives. We show men & women how to change their lives by furthering their relationship with Jesus Christ along with their education in the areas of social and biblical studies. This, along with our vocational and in-action discipleship training properly prepares them for a future in the job market or ministry as well as general self-sufficiency.
The areas of training at our residential facility are educational, vocational, managerial, family, and spiritual with an emphasis on personal change and improvement. We maintain a disciplined, structured environment where people are given a genuine chance at a new beginning.
A unique facet of our facilities is the ability to train and educate young men and women who may have had a difficult background or a previous experience involving drugs or alcohol abuse. Regardless of their past, we believe that young men and women who are serious about change will receive vital skills necessary for a complete change of life. This will enable them to become positive, productive members of their families and communities, inevitably, strengthening both.
We also believe in teaching our students to give back. We have a unique outreach, The Lighthouse, that meets at least twice a week in downtown. This urban ministry provides food, clothes, love, and encouragement to many broken people. By sharing the love of Christ, students are able to experience and witness God’s grace and redemption.
For us recovery describes the journey we make between being lost and being found, from darkness to light, from broken to in repair. By focusing first on their relationship with Christ, students have a model for forgiveness and repair. Relationships are restored and hope for the future is restored. Rebuilding our students’ identities on the foundation of Jesus Christ allows for ongoing transformation and lifelong growth.
Our Vision
Our vision is to give hope to those addicted to drugs or alcohol, through educational, vocational, managerial, family, and spiritual training, with an emphasis on personal change and improvement.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help people from all walks of life with serious life-controlling issues like drugs and alcohol and become productive members of the community by providing comprehensive, long-term assistance.
Core Values
Discipline
A life that is surrendered to the will of God, submitted to its appointed Biblical leadership, and devoted to God’s inerrant Word, is a life that enjoys the fruit of Biblical discipleship.
“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 11:1
Accountability
God desires to shape His children by way of submitting to the Christ-centered admonition of another Christian.
“Iron sharpens iron, and now man sharpens another” Proverbs 27:17
Integrity
When we grow and mature in the things of God, we desire a life that is open, transparent, and honest. A life that showcases Biblical integrity is a life that pleases and honors God.
“To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.” Proverbs 21:3
Generosity
Generosity flows out of our trust in the Lord. We freely give to those in need because we trust that God will reward our generosity and meet our every need. The generous person does not lack.
“Whoever gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eye will get many a curse.” Proverbs 28:27
Courage
Biblical courage is when the believer takes a stand on the firm foundation of scripture. This boldness and confidence drive the Christian to be courageous, steadfast, and unwilling to conform to the world around us.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2
Stewardship
This is the Christian that maintains, manages, and wisely uses that which God has given him. God is our provider, and we should honor His provisions with our stewardship.
“If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?” Romans 12:2
Humility
Humility stands on the truth that believers depend solely on Christ alone - Our strength comes from not ourselves, but God.
“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Phillippians 2:5-8
